Huay Xai-Phongsali-Xam Neua & Beyond

In late November of 2005, I set off with my friends David and Mai who live in Chiang Kong, Thailand. It was to be a trip hitting the Northern areas of Laos that aren’t as well traveled as some.
Road construction, water crossings, and dirt/mud roads added to the excitement. It was an interesting and VERY cold trip. Yes, it gets very cold in the mountains even in a tropical country.
A few mishaps, a couple bike failures, but all in all a great trip with good company.
