Chasing Sunflowers

Khun Yuam, Thailand
One of the most popular destinations in Northern Thailand is what is known as the Mae Hong Son loop. The roads twist through a claimed 1,864 curves around the mountains from Chiang Mai north to Pai, Sappong and Mae Hong Son, rejoining Chiang Mae from the south in what is usually a two, or more, day trip.
If you time it correctly you may find yourself in the middle of glorious sunflowers. Every year the town of Khun Yuam hosts a festival to celebrate this event.
