Hahaha, I am crackin up, came here to see what you're up to and I see an entry from someone from Melvindale!! Do you know how close to the Melvindale circle you were? that's where I'm from! My contacts would have been from outside that circle though, before my PD days. It would have only been one in a million reports to Carol, who I don't know,I don't think, but she would have seen another side of me then! hahaha, what a small world!
Hey, great website, as usual, glad to see you're doing well.I've seen this Temple with the tigers on a TV program here in the UK. Lucky you to be able to go there! We were just talking about Thailand today. One of these days....

Thanks for the comments. It sounds like we ran in the same circles. I can't say I miss Michigan much either. Good luck with your retirement plans when the time comes.

Hello from the Land of Lincoln.
Interesting blog, I'll be back, I came in here looking for an author of the same name as you, it was delightful to find your site.

I'm originally from Melvindale, my dad was a det. in the pd there back in the day. I was a police clerk in the '70s. I bet we know some of the same people. LOL.

I kept a boat in Gibraltar for years before moving it to Chicago-- Jackson Harbor. Boating is a whole lot better in Michigan. I don't miss Mich so much, but Chicagoland is going like Detroit now. I think we'll be retiring down south.

Good luck to ya.
